“I own a 71 Moto Guzzi that I’ve been painstakingly rebuilding. Well, I sent the gas tank out to be pressure tested and sealed prior to doing anything on the bike. I got it back and you could see the coating. Well, after several years and getting the bike painted we got her back together and on our maiden voyage we discovered a leak in the tank. Well what can i do? It’s been several years sense I had it painted. Well a friend told me of your product. I purchased it and after following the directions to the “t” I can’t be any happier. I would and do recommend this product to anybody that has a leak!”

“Your truly a very happy gonzo!”

“I bought a sail boat that had a leaking fiberglass fuel tank that was integral with the hull of the boat. Therefore it was impossible to remove it. It had been leaking for about 10 years and two previous owners had tried unsuccessfully to repair it from the outside.

I cleaned the tank as per your instructions and dumped the KBS coating material into the bottom of the tank and used a small paint roller to apply the material to the inside of the tank. I removed the excess material from the tank bottom before letting it set up for a week. I put 90 gallons of diesel fuel( that I had removed and stored in drums) back into the tank and am glad to say that there were NO leaks. Your material was easy to apply and repaired the tank exactly as you said it would.

Thank you very much.”

BUBBLING
Small bubbles in or on the paint film.

CAUSE:

Liquid solvent (thinners/reducers) becomes "trapped" in the paint film when the surface layer skins over too quickly, preventing their evaporation into the atmosphere. Solvents that vaporize within the paint film leave bubbles, pinholes or craters as they push through and "pop" the surface. Solvents can be trapped due to:

Excessive film thickness from puddling in tank.

Too hot and/or too humid atmospheric conditions.

Too hot/warm tank conditions.

Moisture remaining in tank.

REPAIR:

Allow surface to completely cure and reevaluate.

Strip out and remove using KBS Strip. Repeat AquaKlean, RustBlast, and Gold Standard Tank Sealer steps.

PREVENTION:

Allow tank to reach room temperature before applying sealer.

Do not attempt to apply sealer in direct sunlight, as tank surface and inside air will be too warm.

Drain out excess sealer.

Avoid allowing coating to puddle/pool inside tank.

Avoid too hot/humid atmospheric conditions (ideal = 55°-82°F/13°-28°C)

Do not allow tank to "cure or dry" in direct sunlight.

Keep tank away from heat while curing.

“I have used the Rust Seal coating and the epoxy putty with great results from both. I have found the consistency of the Rust seal better than another Stop Rust Coating I have been using for over 10 years. Your product flows and covers better, seems to be a higher solids coating.”

“My boys have bikes that have truly taken a beating with the beach weather! I can’t afford to buy the boys new bikes, that would cost me a small fortune! So, I decided to try out this KBS system. The boys and I decided to just dive into it and see where it took us. Much to my delight, it was an incredible experience. This system was so easy to use, and the end results are beautiful! My boys actually love their bikes more now than they ever did! Keep up the great work KBS!!”
